Pied Marker?

I've been looking at BPs recently, and a few times I've come across breeders with het or poss het pieds who refer to the snake having a strong 'pied mark', sometimes accompanied by a shot of under the snake's tail. I have no idea what they're referring to however, or what I'm looking for in these shots.

Could anyone in here clue me in?

	Heterozygous Heterozygous - the animal carries the gene for a genetic trait but does not outwardly demonstrate the trait. Example: A boa that is het for albino looks normal but carries the albino gene. When it is bred to another het for albino boa or an albino boa, a percentage of the offspring will be albino.

i think it has something to do with the clear belly...but IMO i think its just BS
