I have a question...
Are there ever any Piebald Ball Pythons born with white on their heads? If so, does anyone have a picture?
(Stop laughing at me now...)

Re: I have a question...
Never seen one? But it doesn't mean they don't exist I guess?

Re: I have a question...
I have an answer, well sort of... Piebaldism has been well studied in farm animals and some non-herp domestic animals. Animals with large large piebald spots on the head usually have defects in both the visual system, hearing system and brain. Although piebald spots are not always a sign of these problems. I'm not sure if these same piebald abnormalities are seen in snakes and if they are present, to what degree.

Re: I have a question...
So you are saying that piebaldism has NOT been found (so far) to carry inherent health defects in snakes? I ask because that is my main problem with morphs in the first place...

Re: I have a question...
So.................... aside from the affects of piebalism, are there snakes with it on their heads?????
I am going to guess no, never have seen them and I suppose if they did exist we would have seen some pics on here by now.

I have also never seen one and I have been following the ball morph market pretty closely for a number of years.

I am not aware of even any reported problems related to piebald ball pythons. So far as I know they are at least as healthy and hearty as normals.
