I belive that is "Burburis Pythonicus" aka burbur carpet python haha jk I know nothing about pythons but that guy looks awesome.
if you've got the cash, that sounds like an ok deal to me, but i guess it depends on what accesories and how big/good the cage is.

It's hard to say for sure since carpets are crossed so much, but that looks like an IJCP to me, and a nice weight on it too. Carpets are usually super-slender.
