Which makes me wonder, if she does get that big, and I could find an abnormally large (proportionate to her size) male, would it be a bad thing to breed for size rather than color, marking, etc?? Not saying I'm going to, just wondering everyones thoughts on the subject of breeding for size.

Nothing wrong with trying to breed for size... I'm sure nobody would be complaining about owning 5-6ft monster females lol...
Beautiful girl Kobi is though... And I think the picture sequence is really quite adorable.

As far as rats go if she's about 2 1/2 ft long a small rat should be just fine. However she might be stubborn in the switch over to rats... Try it out first and if for some reason that she doesn't take it. Try asking the person at the petstore/rodent breeder to put in some soiled mouse bedding in with the rat... It Has worked well for me!
I hear ya on the crazyness of how fast she's growing... I've got a reduced pattern female that weighed less than 200 grams when I first got her... back in November of last year... She now weighs over 1200g's and it doesn't look like she's slowing down anytime soon lol..

Thanks for the advise! And Kobi says thank you also for the compliments...she is sitting here with me just hamming it up lol. I will probably try switching her next week. She is such a pig...I think she'll switch without a second thought lol. Also, I'm glad to see someone else with a souped up BP lol!

Your welcome! Let us know how the switch goes! If she's got an appetite li ke the one you describe it shouldn't be a problem. I've got a normal female that I recently aqcuired that has been feeding on mice. I'm fixing to make the switch with her this week.

Well, I am going to make the attempt today. Yesterday was her feeding day according to her schedule, but the only place that carries rats wasn't open, so I figured I'd wait an extra day. That'll just ensure she's extra hungry Wish me luck! I'll keep posted!
