I still feel sick.

Horror Story Part 1 - The Call.

They (the infamous Pet Shop from you know where) called me on Friday afternoon. "...and the snake at our HWT Branch won't eat...yes it's a Ball Python...it ate 5 weeks ago....can you come and take a look?"

Part 2 - The Response.

I go there on Saturday morning with 2 different size prey items (pinky mouse, pinky rat) and eventually get them to understand who I am and why I am there..got a call from your main shop, etc., come to see the snake...where is it?

It's in a cold box with a glass front, a tiny metal container of water and a dirty sheet of newspaper. Or rather, it's under the newspaper...when the boy lifted the paper in the section that I cleverly point out to him because there is a slight bump...oh! There it is. It is so very DEAD that it's stiff and dried out. The boy starts to pluck at it with his finger and I say "The snake is DEAD." I say it very loud and everyone stares...oh dear!!! Really??? But it was just quite all right...it was fine yesterday...yah right.

It was a real small baby about 12 inches at the most. Poor little thing, another victim of humanity's carelessness. I walked out with my potential offerings, no longer needed...never again, for one little Ball Python.

I shall have plenty to say to the owner of the shops, who has heard from me more than he wishes. I am going to threaten to report him to the JSPCA if this happens even one more time with any of their animals.

Indeed. I say inform the owner that you HAVE reported them to JSPCA....

Thanks Tom and all of you...I will let you know what comes of this. I am going to speak with the owner, and if his response is not to my liking I shall inform the JSPCA, after telling him that I will.

This is the Pet Shop that keeps RTBs with BPs (BIG and small) on corn cob, no hide, no soak water, no humidity. Incredible. Don't they....but no, they don't.
