Re: Emerald tree boa vs Green tree python???
We had a chondro for awhile before we scaled down a bit, and I thought she was fabulous. She was very easy to handle once off her branch, but I wouldn't call her tame....great eater also! I loved watching her eat upside down!
I've heard great things about Emmy's too...but either way by captive born. Believe it or not, there have been some sudden deaths in wild caught specimens that cannot be fully explained at this time. I'd rather be safe than sorry

Re: Emerald tree boa vs Green tree python???
I haven't had an ETB but I do have GTP's and love them. They are diverse in color, the changes are really cool, and for the most part they are very tame. If you do your homework they aren't too difficult to care for, and every one of them is completely different from the others. Emeralds are generally all the same in appearance. They have variations, and there are of course, the special ones without markings or a lot of black, but the average ones look pretty much the same. You'll never find two chondros that look the same, even among the same types. They even range in color from yellow to a red so dark it looks brown when they are neonates.

Re: Emerald tree boa vs Green tree python???
It's simply whatever you prefer. I personally prefer the variability of chondros, though the amazon morph etb's are pretty sweet (for which you'll pay). Chrondros will be more reliable breeders.
