If you've decided not to take him to a Vet then I'd put some Neosporin on the wound. Applying oinments to the head and face of a snake can be a little challenging for some specimens...use a Q-tip. Keep a close eye on the wound for the next day or two. If it looks like it's getting any worse, i.e., infected, get him to a Vet ASAP. If you haven't already, find out what he may have rubbed on to cause such a wound and see if there's a way of preventing him from doing further injury. Was he just trying to get out of the cage? Was he trying to shed?
