The Wiggle!

Just another wonderful nite of feeding reptiles!... one of my female bp's was driving me nuts tonigh! all of my snakes are great for eating...but tonight Diamond my bp was getting under my skin..lol... 99% of the time I put the snakes in the feeding tubs and tos in the prey and go about doing other stuff...well all the feedings went well till diamond was up to eat....threw in her rat shut the lid and came back about half hour later and the rat was still there but the other 2 bp's were done eating so I thought well might as well give her a lil more time and it should be gone...boy was I wrong....opened up the lid and she was wrapped up around just hanging out with the rat in the middle of her...well I thought its been long enough so she isnt going to eat..no big deal always next time..so I got my hook cuz no way was I going to reach in...the lil crap struck the hook..well I thought to myself is she going to eat it or what...I put my hook on the ratt and gave it a lil wiggle and bam she was on it like flies on you know what..has she ate it yet? who knows will find out soon enough now that its well past bedtime for me... just had to vent and laugh a lil and share my fun night of the "wiggle"...good night everyone!

Lol don't i know that feeling...my female ball strikes all vigorously and like she's half starved so i figure that she's gonna eat so i leave the room, come back about an hour later,...she's cuddling with her rat... So i get it out of the tub and make it do its dance she stares at me like im crazy so the next week she come out of the tub striking...sheesh my hungry lil girl...Nope not quite, found her with the rat..again. So hopefully tommorrow she'll ACTUALLY eat

I hope to go upstairs now and find the rat gone... I will post tomorrow if the wiggle worked! but if not she will be waiting 2 more weeks..its her own fault! I just wiggled the rat with my snake hook to make sure to keep my hands out.. dont need any more bite marks..bad enough I took a nice chunk of skin off of my thumb today with a drive shaft off of one of our trenchers at work..no it wasnt running just helping a guy to put it back on and I was under the trench and the shaft slipped and caught my thumb between it and the frame..it hurt and still does! anywho goodnight all its time for bed so I can get to work tomorrow!

well the wiggle worked..when I went upsatirs and checked on her it was gone!

lol finicky lil snake, i never just throw my rats in personally i always just wiggle it for a 1/4 of a second and WHAM bindi has actually hit it so hard the tail ripped off in the tongs lol
