Need some input - what's going on with this spider?
The bright yellow on her keeps changing to white more and more after every shed. Her last shed was 2 weeks ago. I went to feed her tonight and took a picture since the change is getting very noticeable. She used to have bright yellow down her back and on her head.
At this rate, she will have only white there eventually.
Any idea what is going on?
This picture is from several months ago and it shows the bright yellow on her back with a barely noticeable hint of white in the center of it.
This picture is from tonight. You can see the signifigant amount of white replacing what used to be yellow.

I think we have 2 kinds of white here. The white on the sides is just a coloration thing. The white going down the middle looks like a fungal infection and/or damage from rough sheds/dry skin.

To me that looks completely normal of Spider balls... but, I could be wrong.

Being that snake skin is made of keratin...like your hair and relative to this discussion, toe and fingernails, they occasionally get fungus under the skin the same way we get fungus under the nails sometimes. Rubbing ointment on it doesn't do much good because the skin of a snake is nonporous/watertight. If kept clean and humidity issues are corrected a couple of good clean sheds should clear it up.
