surface temp. VS. Air temp

whats more important.also i am getting a snake in a few weeks and i have done som reserch and they alwas say 88-02 on the hat side and 75-82 on the cool side.Know is that air tamp or surface temp.

it should be 85-87 on hot and 75-80 on cool..and an ambient room temp of 70

thats my temps...mine are in racks though..the best way to measure temp is to get a temp gun, its the most accurate

both are important. a warm/hot basking spot doesn't compensate for low ambient (air) temp. Cristina hit it on the money. Keep the room itself at a comfortable temp for you (70-80 or whatever).....then thermostats come into play
