I don't even know if I have a question, this is just peculiar to me.

Pepito always looked the same, hehe. Then I mited him with mineral oil, then he just finished shedding today and . . . he's a lot paler than he was. Like, he's almost white along his spine . . .
See my "BP shedding one scale at a time" forum in Pythons.

Um . . . Hmmm.

Oh yeah. Poor baby's on Baytril and Panacur as of yesterday. The antibiotics is NASTY.

It's the mineral oil, my Ball Python's color changed a bit after I used mineral oil to get some bad shed patches off. It goes back to normal after a shed or two. That white just looks like he's reflecting light more, not because his skin is a diff color.

Scott

I know it looks like reflection. *sigh* But he really is quite pale. Like, the color near the end of his tail is the color his pale is all the way.

Lesson I learned today:

Do NOT poke a shedding, gravid female, or you may lose your finger. Or your glove, as in my case.

I would acredit it to him shedding. Snakes always look their lightest, and brightest right after they shed. I don't know about the mineral oil, never used it. -Juggalo
