Ball info needed
I really want to get a larger snake..ive been going back and forth btwn a bp and a boa...I dont want anything that get to big like a retic..like 6 feet max...it has to be docile..I have 2 boys..one is 4 and adores snakes..the other is 4 months so hes 2 little..but I want sumthin they can grow up w/. I am facinated w/ the different colors of the bp, and I hear they are pretty docile..but picky feeders..
so what advice to u guys have????
im going to a reptile show this weekend

Ball pythons are great.We have 5 and only 1 is persnickity when it comes to food.They are very calm and very good around my kids.Good luck.

A ball would be your best choice ESP with 2 little ones around. Mine eat just fine, but they have been picky eaters many times. And as Slithers said consider a het for morph.

and are they pretty social?..like when u come in do they come out and want u're attention

all snakes are pretty anti-social in the way you describe. they tolerate handling ( for varied lengths of times ) but they wont be begging to be pet and touched when you come home like a dog would.
sometimes alot of enjoyment can be had using night-lighting and a display cage to observe the snake exploring the cage during the evening. at least i enjoy it. i stay up late however
