I got a male, who's just a baby. While he's not the longest, I would say that he's gotta be close to the fattest!! J/k he eats like a little piggy. But he's young and only about 2 ft or so.

Here is Skyy, my largest BP. She measures in at 52 1/2" according to the snake measurer program, and that is about what I got with the string method. She is only 3 1/2 years, so I hope she gets a little bigger... Cheers

I don't keep ball pythons, but I have in the past. None were over 50" but none were kept for more that about 4 years.
.
A reptile dealer in the States once imported a ton (literally) of adult ball pythons, all the ones that the pet importers very rarely buy. They were processed for meat and hides. In the shipment were dozens over 5' in length, many over 6' and a some over 7' long...
.
I don't know why it is that most ball pythons we see here are relatively short. It may have to do with age, or how they are fed (even the types of food) or temps or it is also possible that we are getting animals from a limited genetic background compared to their entire range in Africa. Personally, I think that size is being ignored in the BP projects and that BPs should be selected and bred for size as well as looks.
.
Imagine if you can a 7' Piebald BP.. or any of the more interesting MORPHS... That would be fabulous. And a lot of the sissy-factor now associated with keeping the BPs would no longer apply..
.

i like ball pythons for the type of snake it is not morph and yes i would love to see a ball python in person 6-7' long. i'm hopeing i can get mine that large. i have no problem feeding mine they take what ever i give them. the only problem with buying the imports that size would be they are probly problem feeder being in the wild that long

Those are some big balls. I guess we Americans just have little balls.
