Help Feeding BP inside enclosure

I have been feeding my BP outside his enclosure; however, it is difficult to get him to eat do to the stresses caused when getting him out. I was thinking about feeding him inside his enclosure; however, I am using aspen bedding and do not want him to injest any of the bedding during feeding. I like the aspen bedding and the BP seems to enjoy it compared to other substrates. Is there any recommendations as to how I can feed him inside the enclosure without harming him?

i have a few that eat inside their enclosure also. i use that "reptile carpet" say from PetSmart or some other crappy pet store, i comes in like a 12 X 24 inch section. I cut in half and put it under their warm hide. I leave it in there, only take it out to clean it when it get soiled. this works well because some bp are shy eaters, so when i catch them in their hide i will slide a f/t rat in the hole and 9 times out of 10 the snatch it up pretty quick.

good luck.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you all and update you on the feeding. I have been rather busy with school work trying to graduate in August. The feeding worked like a charm. I went and bought me some repti-carpet and cut it to fit the enclosure on the warm side and put the hide on top. Put the F/T on the carpet at the front of the hide and it was gone in about 15 minutes. Thanks a million all of you. I was terrified about maybe having to feed live; thanks to your support, live is no longer a worry of mine.
