Pretzel's first meal
From my experience with Smiley, my other ball python, I knew feeding Pretzel for the first time in his new home was going to be a time consuming task, because balls are picky eaters. I was prepared!
Opened up the tank: "Hi Pretzel! Look what mommy's got for you! If you don't like the steel tongues, we gonna use the wooden ones ... and if you don't like the hopper I got a rat pinky thawed out for you, too!". I picked up the hopper by the tail with the steel tongues and got ready for the "mouse dance" while manouvering the hopper closer to Pretzel. "Okay, I know, this is really hard, but believe me: You can do it!"
WHAM! What happened? Pretzel is rolling over backwards in his cage. My snake is going into seizures!!!! First Aid ... mouth-to-mouth? ... got to get the tongues out to get to Pretzel ... uhm, where's the hopper?
I got only two pics (one's all blurry, because of the fast movement) of this feeding session. I've never before seen a snake attack and eat its prey this fast. I didn't even see, how Pretzel got the mouse out of the tongues!

I know what you mean. My ball pythons are very quick striker/swallowers of their food. The best and most reliable feeders I have ever had as far as ball pythons go anyway.... Glad to hear there were no complications.
