I really want to get BP a hacthling or a baby at most and, I have enough time and space to care for one.I have read every thing about them and know they sometimes refuse to feed.I think there really cute and have beautiful markings.I've looked in a number of reptile stores and there are quite a few good specimens.
So what do I do? Should I get a royal python or not?

I got a friend who's selling 2 small royal pythons (ball pythons) and a 40Gl enclosure for $150.00 even. It's a good deal considering they can live in this enclosure for a while. Good eaters both, one's real tame and I tamed the other down so it doesn't strike anymore. He said it used to strike at him but since they've been under my care they haven't hissed, struck or nothing. Really good snakes a matter a fact. I got pics of them if you want to click on the man below and check out my album. The dark one is female and the brighter one is unsexed. It's a great deal, I just don't got the space for them and for some future additions I have planned. But should you get snakes was the question?? Most definitely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got a new baby girlie last night. She's a month old! And sweeeeeet. Her name is Nessie for the Loch Ness Monster marking on her neck:
Here is my male, Mehen. He's 2 yrs old:
They are very sweet snakes. Many husbandry mistakes are made with them. Many people think that since they come from Africa, they don't need much humidity, then they wonder why they aren't shedding properly. Oh, well, good luck if you get one. Better to get one from a breeder and NOT the pet stores! That way you know they are CB and established feeders...

CM it seems like a great deal but, im only interested in getting one BP at the moment.Like the pics though. Idydrgn, Nessie is very cute and I already know that pet stores are a bad place to go for stock, the people nknow nothing about reptiles whatsoever

Hey Captain
How much for the snakes shipped and you keep the enclosure? How old etc?
Royal
You should get a Ball if bought from a reliable breeder you should not have any problems at all.

He's getting kicked out of the military for being overweight and getting into to much trouble.....have to see if he still wants to sell them or not.....I'll see him tonight at our softball game....btw we won last night! record 1-1

GREAT NEWS!!! I rang up this reptile place today and they've got 12 captive farmed juvenile BPs!!!
But i've got 2 questions to ask you herp people out there!!!
1)Are captive farmed BPs as good as captive bred BPs?
2)Is it better to start off with a baby royal or a juvenile?I mean in size wise?If anyone has a pic of a juvenile BP I will be very grateful.
P.S. I need replies before the 28th April(I plan to get the snake then)!

That would be better than wild caught, and from what I have read cb and cf aren't too diff...but Cb is still a bit safer. Why? I dunno =P

MORE GREAT NEWS!!! Theres this really good place in London where they sell lots of captive bred reptiles including royals! It's not to far away I'll have to take the tube though.
But theres still one thing I need to ask the experts on this site. This place sells 18 inch yearling royals, are these like juveniles or what?
