I am getting soooo sick and tired of seeing ads, webpages, pics, etc about python morphs. I do not get see why we have to change the colours or whatever of these already beautiful snakes. They are not some sort of accesory to go with your new outfit - THEY ARE SNAKES!!! Why can I not just look on a website that is selling SNAKES (not $$$K morphs just freakin snakes).

I am not meaning to rag on anyone that does like morphs - you choice. I just find it annoying that we now are totally abusing DNA makeup for OUR own needs. These are living beings and we do not have the right to play God here.

Sorry I just had to vent. I love my snakes (and well most animals/reptiles/whatever) and am very passionate about this topic. And no I am not some PETA whacko that is going to go around and spraypaint fur coats. Like I said just venting. Maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the cage.

I think what is ludicrous is the price people ask for them..
Just because RIGHT now, they are the only ones with this particular morph, when you know if you hang out for a couple of years, every pet store will have one...LOL

I used to think they were really neat looking, and unusual..and the occasional "freak" isnt necessarily a bad thing, but to purposely inbreed over and over again to achieve some of these morphs is just not good.
We are taking a special thing, and making it not-so-special, like you said, what is wrong with the snakes naturally?

I like morphs. I don't see anything wrong with looking different. Why look or dress like others when you can look totally different. But hey I never wanted to fit in with normal people anyways.....

I love morphs too...I am just proud that I am keeping mine clean I have a few morph Boas and Balls, but just as pets that I have got through trades.
