When I fed my royal on tuesday it started dancing!!!
Well what happened was I got the defrosted mouse out, and put it on the forceps, showed it to the snake. It started sniffing it then suddenly, it went on its side and went backwards. It did it a few times and then went back to normal. After this I took the mouse out, sprayed the tank and heated the mouse with the hairdryer. I showed it to the snake and WHAM!!! The snake ate it and I left it alone.
So what was that strange dancing? Has anyone else seen this behavior from a royal python?

Did you sniff or taste the food item?
Maybe it had an objectionable odor that was blown off by the hair dryer.

Smelt normal to me. The snake was still sniffing it after its dancing and before I took the mouse out.
