I better stick with pythons
My boa passed away and sometime in the future i want to get a blood, so I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of them with babys and adults, oh and feeding pics if you have em. I am aware of the humity requirements of these snakes and the size. But isnt it true that even a 10 gallon will make a haltchling blood python insecure, it seems a bit small to do that but what do you think??

My Blood is in a small plastic shoebox size tote, and loves the closed in feel. Blood babies need to feel pretty safe and secure. She is 17 inches long and about 110 grams. She is still quite young and so far has been a great snake. I have not had a single hiss out of her.

Young bloods like to feel secure in small enclosures such as a 10gallon. Mine is around 27 or so inches right now I think, and has been great to hold - never been bitten by him, yet. I really love him, though, he's great.
Here is a link to some pics of him, and if you scroll down there's also a pic of him wrapped around a f/t rat.
***Pics*** Some outdoor fall pics, and some feeding pics (Dial up warning)

Here's some older pics of my Borneo(he's about 42" now). These snakes are seriously alot of work, more so as adults. When they poop or pee....WOW! It can stink up the house not to mention having cleaning the entire cage and replacing most of the bedding if not all of it everytime they go. I keep mine on towels and change them every week(he usuallly pees once a week). I used to be against keeping them on towels/newspaper but IMO it is in the best interest for the snake to keep them like this to prevent bacterial growth. I love these snakes and I'm not trying to be negative, I just want to let you know about some things that I wasn't aware of when I bought mine. Also the most common mistake people make is keeping the humidity too high..... Just do your research and goodluck..... .
Here are some good caresheets... http://www.newenglandreptile.com/CareBlood.html and http://www.vpi.com/8VPICareSheets/Py...ythonMaint.htm
