anybody dealt with whitelip pythons
i think they are so beautiful...and if and when i get another snake that is what i want to get...anybody with experience..what is their temperament like...are the husbandry things like a columbian rtb?

They are a more advanced species.
They have very specific humidity and temp requirements (and any brief deviation can cause health problems)
They are also fairly nervous and most are not too happy with being handled.
If you have a good set up, leave them alone, and you get a nice CB healthy one they are not all that difficult.
but they are definately NOT a starter snake.

the one at my local herp store suffers from an extreme case of a split personality, sometimes its fine other times it strikes without warning or provocation.

By far the worst snakes I have seen anyone deal with~! My friends White Lip's are insane~!! I wouldn't step within 4 feet of those things if the enclosure was open~!! I walked past their enclosures and I was at least 3 feet away and they were slamming their faces at the glass trying to bite me LOL Deffinately not a beginner Python by far~!
