Blue Ball

Is this the only way i can get "blue balls" past the adminstrators? jk but i was just at the pet store and they had a shipment of balls in. 2 of them were covered in a blue that was purple under the heat lights. it looked like someone had drawn on half of the body with a marker or something. has anyone ever heard of a ball having this coloration? it wasnt the entire snake, and their siblings that had miniscule amounts of this color had a nice gold color if that helps at all...

I've seen some balls (...) with a blue coloration before. I think it's some kind of snow hybrid.

They are completely NORMAL. No pet shop gets a shipment of baby balls in that are morphs. Do you know how the African ball python trade works? Those people KNOW. Baby balls have alot of iridescence and it can sometimes be confused with a "morph". They may also be getting ready to shed, hence the "blue" tone. My big girl gets very iridescent and "dusky" when she is going to shed.

	Morph A morph is a color or pattern variation that is proven to be genetic. Common morphs include albino, anerythristic, gentically striped, Hypomelanistic, and many others. Morphs also include combinations of simple traits such as "Sunglow" which is Albino and Hypomelanistic. These traits may be recessive traits, co-dominant traits, dominant traits, or created through selective breeding (ie Pastel).
