Usually pretty nippy as babies...calm down somewhat as adults...typical of tree snakes. Adults are nothing close to as nippy usually as a typical amazon though and with a little handling and TLC usually turn out quite handlable. You might also consider Savu pythons. They are basically an island species of Macs but with cooler eyeballs.

Macklott's are pretty good as adults as JS has said. As for White Lip's...every snake I have seen has one bad attitude~! You walk past their enclosure from 3 feet away and they are striking at the glass. Beautiful...but crazy~!! That's just my personal experience with them.

I have Macklots and my adult male is my favorite snake in the world. I would highly recomend them if you are up for a nippy snake as a baby. I've worked with about 5-6 over the years and they all were great, they eat like champs, the savu I worked with wasn't to keen on eating but that was the olny one I've had experiences with. Also they don't get to large. Good luck =)
