a friend asked me to post this up.
he has a ball python, and over the past week it has become wheezy, and seems to have a lump in its throat.
is it a cold? as we have have had extremly cold weather over the past 2 weeks?

A vet check is in order. If it is a respiratory infection, it will only continue to get worse. It could also lead to mouth rot, and that is NOT a fun problem to deal with.
If the RI and mouthrot are allowed to continue, they could kill the snake.
