I have a Sumatran blood python, I know it's not a Borneo, but every blood python is different as far as their temperaments and personalities go. Sumatrans are also known for their snappy personalities, especially as babies, though mine isn't aggressive. As long as you go for captive bred Borneos, I think the temperament may not be so bad and aggressive. My blood python isn't quite a year old yet, but is gentle as anything when being held, though I still have to be careful when I go to pick him up out of his tank. I have to let him smell my hand first so that he doesn't think it's food. But I've never been bitten by him. But like I said, some blood pythons, whether Borneos or Sumatrans, all differ with their temperaments. I think frequent handling also helps to achieve a nicer temperament.

I too have a Sumatran (04 NERD line), and he is a big ol teddy bear. Of my entire collection, he is probably the most people friendly. I can get him out and he will sit in my lap for hours on end, i can put him down, get up, and leave the room for something, come back and he will not have moved at all. He has NEVER struck at me. I also had a female a while back the i sold to a breeder. And she was an absolute nightmare! So it is just luck of the draw!
Good luck.

I have a few Sumatran Bloods but I just picked up a nice trio of Borneo Short tails but they are not here yet so no pics of them. I know several people that keep Red Bloods, Borneos and Blacks and they all tell me that Borneos and Blacks have the most laid back temperment usually but Reds can be very tame too!
