Weird Weird activity. Even for a BP!!!(Not eating)

yep...BP hasnt eat for at least a few months. But im not sweating that too much since he still seems to be in good weight.

But last night when i tried to feed him he wouldnt attack it, and so i left that rat in there. When i came back i saw him stretched about 30 degrees in the air off of the ground almost completely still. At first i though oh great! hes just letting the rat slide down, but the rat was still there and its still here. i left it overnight, its his 4th straight overnight rejection. It just seems so weird to me. I think i may add a 2nd daylight to raise the heat. Good idea?

Dude dont sweat it.
This is normal behavior for a ball python, I have one that ate every feeding for six months strait (on a 7 day schedule), then out of nowhere he would reject every 2 meals after he ate 1, so I only fed him about once a month, and that went on for almost 6 months. Now hes eating weekly once again.
*So my advice to you is only offer him once a week, if he dosent take it after it being with him for 30 minutes then hes probably not in a mood to eat. Dont let the snake sweat you if he wont eat, just take the rat away then dont offer him again till its feed day again.

i've just been through a phase with my male bp did'nt eat for 3 months well he ate 1 rat pinkie and 2 small mice in 3 months not alot for a growing snake thats nearly 8 months old, i tried absolutely everything didn't handle for pretty much the whole 3 months, messed with temps, tried every feeding technique, covered his viv for a while, also every different colour and type of rodent availible. then the about ia week ago after handling him the day before to check his general health and weight. i went back to basics dangled a rat pinkie in front of him and he nearly took my arm off. really aggressive feeding response, i fed him 3 that day another 3, 5 days later and now i 'm back to every 7 days and moved him up to med mice and everything seems to be fine now. basicly i think your limited to what you can do in some of these situations sometimes its just down to the snake assuming its in good health and you just have to be patient although its extremely fustrating.
