ball python EATING!!!
finally after 3 months of patchy eating my royal has suddenly turned in to an eating machine, he's gone from being totally uninterested you could wave a rat in front of his face for hours with nothing, i also tried every other technique in the book rodent hole, under hides the list goes on. i went back to basics waved it in his face and he almost took my arm off, gulped 2 down. and for the past three days any movements near his viv and he alerts to it expecting another rat. hopefully he'll continue this after my 3 months experience with ball pythons its true, like alot of you said its just patience. i not doing anything different just he's had a bad eating phase i think, hopefully he makes up for it with a good few months of regular eating and packs on a few pounds.

yeah in some ways i wish he never took a very limited space in my collection but hopefully things improve, it is such a headache especially when my king and bci have always eaten like pigs. i would never recommend one to anyone, but i'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. i still think he's cool though. the only thing i cant understand is up until the other day i'd done everything by the book no handling for about a month no disturbances and even covered his viv for a while. also tried every feeding technique going. then i handled him just to check him out, next day he eats. the rules don't seem to apply to this one he's just a pain.
