Weird topic. I did it because i have a bp that hissed at me. I was watching a tv show that featured a bull snake. I want one. They were talking about it being sick and all so i decided to get reaper out to show hom some snakes. When ever i touch him he expands to the water bowl amd the tank. Then i moved the bowl and touched to pick him up. HISSS! scared the crap out of me. Is this agression a warning or shock? Very creepy thing is maybe he wanted to act like a bulll snake because ive heard they hiss and fake rattle their tails like imitation rattlesnakes. That probably was a bluff warning. probably didnt feel like being touched, maybe going through a shed, or just in a mood. BPs "Normally" dont strike out, but just hiss to tell yo "i'm not in the mood for it now"

So do ratsnakes, racers, coachwhips and just about every other colubrid. The Bull is popular b/c he has a little more to his hiss than some other snakes. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]
