JCP Feeding Tips/Tricks

Hi, does anyone have any tips or tricks to get JCP's feeding. I am looking after my cousins new purchase whilst we build a vivarium for it, but for the past two weeks it has refused to take a fuzzy mouse. It was feeding on F/T fuzzy mice in the shop. She appears to be more interested in climbing up the tongs than eating the mouse. The temporary tank is 32/33 on the warm side and 28/29 on the cool side. She has plenty of hides/ undergrowth and a branch. Any ideas will be appreciated.

have you tried leaving a f/t fuzzy on the cage floor before you turn the lights out?

Thats what I usually had to do.

a few times after that, they usually take off pretty good.

Yes the shop was feeding frozen/thawed. I have tried leaving the fuzzy on the floor before turning the lights out, but unfortunately it is still their in the morning which is why I tried waving it around abit with the tongs. This seemed to create a bit of interest but then she decided it woulb be more fun to climb up the feeding tongs to say hello.

I think I will just leave her for a bit longer and then try leaving a fuzzy in with her again, she may still be feeling a little stressed after her move. She only refused food for two weeks whch isn't really that long.
