Scale rot ??

ok i had a guy come in about his ball python and when i closely examined i had noticed it was scale rot, and i didnt know anything about ? can anyone help me out about this, like how to treat it and how serious this is, the giuy left me his name and number for me to call him when i got enough info on it , so please help ASAP !

If it is scale rot the best advice is to tell the guy to take the animal to a qualified (herp. knowledgable) veterinarian. If you miss diagnose and something happens to his snake resulting from your treatment you take on a lot of liability.

first off tell the dude to clean enclosure once a week and change the substrate when the stuff gets soiled and replace it with new stuff every or every other week then do what Steven P said. Cant just be throwing neosporin on the snake unless you got a better prognosis on the critter.

That did the scales look like and can we get pics?
