got my first JCP
Wow she is even better than I imagined- will post pics soon. What i want to know is how soon till I handle her. Tried to handle her but after a long drive and flight she must have been scared already s no wonder she struck at me. What did everyone do, just take the bites or what? very excited here!

You should give your snake at least 48 hours (preferably more like 3 days- 1 week) to let it get acclimated to it's new surroundings and calm down from all the stress it endured during travel. We all know how hard it is to leave it alone for a while, but in the long run it won't be a big deal to ya compared to the importance of your snakes health. Congrats on the new addition. I look forward to seein some pics.

Ya, wiat for awhile. Also I wouldn't count on it not biting if it's a baby(they're usually snappy as babies). But none the less make sure you keep it warm and don't hold it. I always try to feed them 3 days after I get them then hold them 3 days after the feeding.

Well its about 18 inches now and really fiesty but I have left it alone and let it get used to its surroundings. Looks really nice. I would say big enough to take hoppers. i don't know if it is a python thing or what but compared to corns they have a much larger head compared to that of the body. These guys would be able to take quite large prey because of that.

She will be fine but even after she gets bigger dont be shocked if she nips once in awhile. But they are beautiful snakes and make great pets. Make sure she has 2 hides and alot of sticks to climb on.
