Feeding - size/timing

I apologise if this is repetitive but am tired and much happening in my life. Anyway - given that El Cajon is 33" (haven't measured him since last shed), what would be the appropriate size rat and timing (weekly, 10 days, etc.). The last rat was about 3-4" body length and he took it down with almost no lump in his body. Remembering that he is underweight but improving slowly and steadily should I continue this size once a week for a few more weeks and then increase size and space feedings out to 10 days? I just don't want to jeapordize what progress he has made by either feeding him too often or not enough. TIA

SteveP is on a distinguished road
If he was under nourished to begin with better to keep the meals on the smaller side. Feeding him every 7 to 10 days is fine at this point. Even with the lighter but relatively frequent meals he'll put some bulk on slowly, which is what you want. I acquired a female Argentine boa last May, about the same size, that was obviously under nourished. Up until a couple of months ago I had her on the smaller but weekly meals. She looks like a million bucks now and ideal bulk and being fed evry 14 days. No need to rush it...he'll get there!
