jcp breeding sizes

i have a pair of jungle carpets that i got recently and would liek to try to breed them. they are about 2.5 years old according to the last owner. and the male is about 4.5-5 feet long and the female is about 5.5-6 and about as big around as a baseball. ive done some researcha dn from what ive read the seem about borderline to me. if they arent big enough i dont really mind id like to breed them but if i cant this year i wont be dissappointed anyway input would be appreciated
