rats

I have been breeding mice for a while now to feed my corns. I am now buying a jungle carpet python so would like to switch to rats.

If my small corns are eating large fuzzies to small hoppers will baby rats be too big?

Would this also be a viable option or just to carry on breeding mice and buy rats?

How many rats would I need?

I currently have three corn snakes and a new jungle on the way.

many thanks

Day old pink rats are about the size of a large fuzzy/small hopper mouse.

How many do you need? One male and Two females should cover your needs fairly quickly. They are actually easier to breed than mice in that they take better care of their young and are far less likely to eat the babies. They also don't stink near as bad.

the jungle is eating well and a young juvenile. Since I will only be breeding two corns at the end of this year I will probably just buy the pinks before selling off the babies but buy enough to ensure that they are eating properly. I probably wont need that many rats so i might keep 1.5 mice as well. what size tub would 1.5 rats need or 1.3
