Not Eating
Hey Guys and Gals my oldest and biggest ball is around a year and a half I adopted him from a shelter here I try to take all their snakes. Well he was a good eater when I first got him and it has been almost 2 months since he has eaten and it is worring me. Should I be? His temps are 87 and 79 humidity is 60ish. He has a clear mouth no weezing skin looks great no sores and he is relaxed and active still loves to be held. Any thoughts? Thanks Shannon of Rochester NY

It's typical for them to go off of food this time of year. Drop back on offering food to about once every two weeks and once spring comes around it will probably start eating again.
You should bring up the hot side temps a bit.... around 89-91° would be a little better.

when i wroked at the pet shop at this toime of the year so many people came in complaining thier balls wern't eating. some were not eating for like 6 months! i brained a few mice and rats for people and that seemed to help. if your worried you may try that. but im sure it is normal for ball pythons to quit eating this time of year. though my ball is a pig and he would eat everyday if i let him.

I Agree Completely, I Dont Think You Should Be Overly Concerned.

yes
Yes it does I dont know how many people think this way but my kids and pets are my life. I dont have time to do much but when the kids go to bed or are with their mother every other weekend I have my pets. Half of my snakes will sit on my head around my neck for hours I love it. Would kill me if I lost one.
