Humidity

I just got a new 36"W x 28"D x 18"H cage for my bp a few days ago and I can't seem to keep the humidity very high. I got it at about 50%. I'm aiming for 60+. I have the water bowl on top of the heat mat and partially under the light. I have a waterfall that I used to use with previous lizards. Would this be a good idea? The substrate is Reptibark btw.....

Are the air vents small enough? We've a viv with full width venting that we block with plastic film to suit our brb. It stopped the problem.

You could switch to something like cypress mulch that will hold humidity better.
