ARRRRRGGGHHHHH Incompetent Vets
OMG, I was so mad today that I could just scream.  I took Luna (2mos old BP) to the vet today just for a check-up beings she is new. Well the vet that normally sees my animals was not available (she is on vacation) so I had to deal with the other $%&# vet that supposedly sees reptiles. Anyway, Luna has already been sexed and is a female. This vet told me that to be certain I would have to have her come in for an expensive, very dangerous operation in which the DR. would make an incision in Luna's belly to check the sex organs!!! I could NOT believe what I was hearing! So basically I left the fecal sample for testing, paid and got the heck out of there. I intend to contact my regular vet asap to inform her of this. I had one other vet tell me that to check the sex they had to open up the abdominal cavity so I quickly found another vet. Of course our regular Vet is excellent and knows how to properly sex my animals (she sexed Merlin by probing) so I don't plan on leaving the clinic but still. She should probably know that she has such incompetence working for her. GEEZ

BTW, I will be taking Luna back to the Dr. as soon as my regular Doc returns for her complete physical. I was just so upset that I couldn't even allow the supposed Doctor to touch her, much less cut her open!!

I always give them the remote control and see if the TV lands on Lifetime or ESPN...That's how I sex them  |

Yeah, thats exactly what I thought. For the life of me, I can't imagine why a DOCTOR would put an animal through a possible life-threatening operation just for the sake of more money though.
