So I have decided to ignore all your advise and take the plunge into ARP territory.(not really lol, more an insane cackle)
A batch of ARPs is arriving in Cape Town from Jo'burg next Thursday(30/5). The guy who is bringing them in told me that there would be 2 one-year-olds and about 8 hatchlings. He is adamant that I should buy 2 so that I can breed. He has quite an interesting theory:
he reckons that the burm market is saturated in SA (on the local herp site
www.snakes.co.za baby burms are selling for about $30!!!) and that people will want something different with regard to big snakes; hence the breeding of the ARP's.
Problem- he isn't quite sure whether they are the sebae(the beeeg, nasty fellows) or the natilensis(the smaller nasty fellows). If they are sebae, I think that one will be fine, thank you.If they turn out to be Satan's smaller spawn, then maybe.
Any thoughts??
By the way Lori, you have some stunning snakes
