Python Eye Cap
I just recently noticed one of my ball python has a weird looking eye cap. The coloration is fine but it seems as if there is some type of "Dent" in it. As if somebody suction cuped a part of his eye in from the other side. Can anybody explain this?

Eye cap
NP just allow it to go another shed mine did the same thing but shed fine. Thought it was low humidity but the one eye was crinkely and the next shed it was fine. It may take two, but don't try to fix it other than water them, soak them in a warm bath even though they are don't shedding, thats what i did to mine to help loosen the eye.

Dented eyecaps are fairly common in BP's just means ya need to up the humidity a bit.

Yep Yep... humidity is a little too low or the critter is not drinking nuff water.
That is a sign of dehydration. Soak him/her overnight and in the morning s/he will be good as new.

I throw mine in the tub and the eye usually corrects itself.

If you want "instant" results, put a drop of water on the "offending" eye and it will most likely pop right back out there.

It's time to double check your husbandry.....
The dented eye cap is either a result of dehydration or retained eye caps and which ever of those it is needs to be corrected with the husbandry.
Double check your humidity levels, and if you dont have one already get a digital hygrometer.
