Feeding two at a time
Hey my new guinea carpet is really picky about eating and i think all #$%^$%^$%^$%^& eat is mice and i can't find a mouce big enough so i think i need to feed him more than one does anyone know how to feed to at a time and he also will NOT eat pre killed. So i was just drop a mouse in there and watch to make sure he doesn't get hurt. Any help. Please.
Also pics to be coming soon, roommate just got a digital camara just waiting on him to get back from TDY.

no expert, but the bait and switch helped me. i use F/T, i first put the mouse in and danced it around the cage, let the snake get the scent, then switched it with a rat.

To get him switched over you may try feeding a live or severly stunned mouse followed by a prekilled one. After he finishes off the first mouse and has it down the gullet offer the prekilled mouse with forceps. Also if ya have trouble getting him to eat rats try waiting to just before he is at the end of the mouse and wait til he opens nice and wide and push a rat inside his jaws normally they will clamp right down on the little sucker and swallow it up with the mouse believing he just has the mouse. Then hopefully he will aquire the taste for rats. But Carpets are picky some do but some don't.
