Ok heres the plan Im looking to get a baby burmese. What im wanting to know is about how big does the male get?? Female?? I have been doing ALOT of reading on them and came across answers from 8 foot to 20 foot. I personally have never seen a burm 8 foot long, most of the ones Ihvae seen are huge. Also when it comes time to feed them when there adults what would you feed them. Im debating between either an albino or normal. I wont be getting it until I get out of this town but just needed info in the meantime.

Thanks

The size range you mentioned is accurate. I have an adult male here who is 8 ft long at 4 years old. I have seen some monsterous burms, though. I know someone with a 7 yr old female who is around 17+ ft and somewhere just under 200 pounds.
I love my burms and my retics, but they are definitly not for just anyone.
I have a suggestion, though. Why not adopt a rescue burm? You can get both albinos and normals in rescue and they really need/deserve 'forever' homes. That way, you won't be supporting the pet shops but giving some poor snake a good home.

I wasnt planning on getting one from a pet store. I dont support pet stores with buying there animals. I did however one time buy an albino okeetee corn snake from only cause it was a pretty snake and it had no mites. I really wouldnt care where I got a burm from as long as it is a baby. I have also been looking at rock pythons and dwarf retics. They both have seemed pretty cool also. I think im just gonna stick with a burm first.

We mostly see burms in rescue that are HUGE already..and that is usually the reason that they are in rescue also. On occasion a neonate/yearling does come through rescue though. Whenever your ready just let us all know
