HAHA - He was a tiny guy but my first were that small too. I have never used a heater ( my house stays about 75 all the time ) I use " Eco Earth coconut substrate " moistened like you do. Usually if they aren't buried they are hungry... LOL Mine " surface " about every 2 weeks to be fed. I think you just needed to wiggle a worm in front of the guy, or maybe he wasn't a healthy one. The only albino pac I had died and did seem a bit fussier. ( albino genetics = bad choice in nature ?? ) Did you provide a water dish for soaking and pooping in ? Mine ALWAYS poop in the water bowl. hahah

pacs are very easy to keep. try a bigger size one some day ( about half dollar size at least ) They don't move around much and are not very fussy about the enclosure size. They will ONLY eat moving prey and it pretty much has to be moving right in front of their face ! LOL I take my adults out of their 10 gallon tank and feed them in a plastic bowl with nothing in it so they don't get a mouth full of substrate. Drop a live WIGGLING rosy barb, earthworm, or goldfish right in front and push it around with a stick until they grab it.
