In my opinion, I think the pixel size rule needs to be upped. - I've only seen it enforced once out of the three times 'round which isn't fair to those of us who follow it.
- hard to view a decent pic of a large boa or other animal over 1 foot long, hence giving advantage to the small lizard owner. (no offense - seriously, it was probably the best viewable pic in the thread - to last month's winner, but you have to admit, size of the subject was a clear advantage, making for a much more beautiful pic and more detailed as well.)
- Anyone who still has dial-up seriously needs to upgrade, and not dictate what the rest of us should be able to enjoy. Darwinism.
- photobucket is free and shouldn't harm the bandwidth of rtb for those who would like to use a higher pixel size to showcase the pic of their animal.
- It doesn't seem to be a huge issue with this current vote since we seem to have mostly larger animals in the pictures for this month anyhow, so I figure I'd weigh in here and see how others feel.
anyhow, that's just my opinion on the matter. I've seen the threads ( and made a couple) with the bigger pics, and they've hardly harmed the site. I think it's worth the few extra seconds a page may take to load.

I agree on all points. On point number 2 - I did crop it to maximize the area. The same with this months pic. You really can't appreciate the full beauty of a snake with such a small pic.
I vote for standard Photobucket size of 800 x 600.
