A Great Online Rabbit Retailer

Hey,

As most of you know I have been looking for a long time for a place to get rabbits for Scarlett (8ft RedTail ). I have found that there is not too many places to get rabbits unless you want to pay quite a bit.

Now, I know a lot of you have local hook ups and can get them very very cheap, however, there are a few of use that are stuck going to pet stores or the net to get good food for our herps.

Anyway, after searching for many a weeks I found this place... www.hare-today.com before I found this place I was going to go with rodent pro and pay upwards of $9/rabbit.

Now, as we all know, shipping is shipping, no matter what you do it will always be crazy. But hare-today does something that made me think. They recycle their boxes and if you send the box back, you pay a few dollars less in shipping.

The order I was going to order with Rodent pro was going to cost me 43.96 I got the same order from hare-today for 33.01 + return postage for the box which I don't know yet, going to send it off today, however, the postage on the box from the last person to use it was 6.93... so the $43 rodent pro order I got for $39.94.

Ok, so perhaps that is not that big of a difference, however, the last order I got from Rodent Pro I had to rebag everything. But take a look at this....



I took them right out of the box and put them right in the freezer, no rebagging needed.

Ok, that's it, just wanted to show you all a good place to get rabbits on line that is a bit cheaper than Rodent Pro

I get mine from www.midwestreptile.com Although he does the local shows here so I don't pay shipping. I pay $1.00 a pound for rabbits, and they are in the 1-1.5 pound range which is perfect for Boas. I dont know what it would cost for shipping to you though.

Yepper, that was one of the many places I checked out, if I was local that would have been great, I looked all over their site and found the price chart. However, no shopping cart. This lead me to think that the only way to buy is either walk up or to do it via Email, FAX or phone, either way gives me the willies

I'm pretty sure he does ship. He's a good guy and will get back to you. Never hurts to ask for a shipping quote. yeah he's a simple guy, with doing business. Contact him and see what he says. You have to think too, less he spends on a website less overhead he has= lower prices.

well, i will definatly keep them in mind. before too long my bci will be moving on up. its great you finally found a place you are happy with. makes it that much easier.

Upate, it only cost me $4.00 to send the box back so the end cost for 5 rabbits was 33.01 + 4 = $37.01 vrs $43.96
