Crashing metal, whining tires..
Noone ask me how today went.. ever 
Started normally.. then went down like a narcoleptic (I cant say )
First thing.. the A arm and ball joint in the car, went through a wicked divorce and custody case with the right front tire, ending with a nice thud as the car met the asphalt, ingraving its autograph, a 3 feet long gash, in the pavement.... It is now on blocks in the back yard and I am still counting my teeth cause of all the Foxworthy jokes on the subject...
Well, it forced a sooner than expected aquisition of a truck I have been trying to get for a few months now...
So... today, all day in the rain.. soaked all the way to the unmentionables, putting two new tires, a solenoid, battery, some cleaning and getting it running....
Its big, its tall and yes, it even has 35" mudders on it too
(REDNECK TRUCK!!!)

Love the new truck. I looked long and hard for a good Bronco before I bought my pickup. I had a Bronco II for 1 years, before it was totaled in Feb. I loved it and was sure I was getting a full size bronco next.

Well.. the car is an easy fix actually, can be done in a day with time to spare.. only problem is that NOONE makes or carries the parts new or NOS for it. (plus, it's the first year of the front wheel drive for that style... eats the parts like Cartman on a candy aisle)
I'll have nothing but the finest JY parts for it
The truck runs great, its an 82 so it doesn't have all the smog crap to bleed off horsepower as all that's required is the cats.
I still have some details to work on before it is 100%, such as the power windows switches, a door skin and powering up the light bar up top , adding the lights in the push bar and removing the alarm as it is useless for anything other than draining the battery, cleaning up the wire harness under the dash and a few other small issues.
The engine was rebuilt about 17000 miles ago, it looks as if it has been well cared for also, so it should last for a good while
And yes, it should be a good herping vehicle except that it didn't come with a ladder |
