Nah. Back when I was single, my first requirement before the first date was that the girl had to be accepting of my critters. Once we got over that, the rest of it was pretty easy.
That having been said, I lucked out and married a wonderful, beautiful woman who loves reptiles every bit as much as I do. I even met her on here.

If it was not for the wife I would not have got my first snake. She wanted it but is freaked out by rats/mice... so, anyway, I get to feed it and she gets to claim it.

BTW, my wife loves me, and tolerates the snakes, lizards, turtles, and any other critter I bring into the house.

She's a Nile monitor and she has her own 8' X 4' X 4' enclosure now. God man... you're out of the loop... What have you been... in a different country or something?

I'm not in another country, Kuwait is just a state. (Yeah, a state of mind, a state of disaster, a state of being, well youo get the idea)
i should have just said monitor, but you know some of us weirdos here would have thought you had a camera in your bathroom :P

In my experience, females tend to either think my boa is either "so cool", or they're completely freaked by it.
Whenever I talk to my mom, she 'reminds' me that I should get a puppy dog, cuz girls like puppy dogs.
-Although if you own snakes, the innuendos are limitless! lol.

I haven't had any problems with dates being repulsed by my snakes. An ex-girlfriend wasn't repulsed by the snakes at all. She even had a couple favorites she handled regularly. To her, t | |
