chance came home
the day she was suppose to come home she went into shed. the hole that we thought was closed up reopened. she shed from the tail up! i soaked her through the whole shed cause it was sticking. i rolled it off her. well the hole had at least a silver dollars worth of puss again. we have been putting neosporin on it. she came home last night and seems real good. but she sleeps in her hide box on her heater and she swets so bad the mulch is real wet under her. is this normal for real big heavy snakes?she loves her hide box. i finally had to get a potatoe box for her to go in. the sterlite thing was to tall. i bought her a styro foam cooler nad cut a hole in it and she went under it and she was sobig it rode on her back like a snail and its shell! she is the only snake i got that my kids refuse to hold. she is all wrapped around me right now. she is huge. she is out cause i had to put medicine on her hole. it isnt red hole anymore it is healing already.

Very cool, louise. As for your question, that strikes me as odd, because snakes don't possess sweat glands (none that I know of). My best guess is at her size, and the amount of time she stayed in one spot caused the moisture from the mulch to get trapped underneath her.
