snakes and tree's
took my boa out for some sunshine today. all was well till she found a pine tree she wanted to climb. found out how hard it can be to get an 8 foot boa out of a tree if they want to stay. but i finally won and have decided that letting her run is not a wise thing to do when there are tree's close by.

the same incident happened with one of my carpets. i was doing some yard work and decided to take her out for some exercize. i put her in a short tree (5') that i thought the branches were far enough away from the lowest branch of the next tree over. i would look over every couple minutes and make sure she was fine. well i was rather suprised when i found her just about to reach the next tree's lowest branch. i quickly bent the tree over hoping to unbalance her but she "leaped" for the other tree. i ran and got a ladder and rescued her before she could get out of my reach.
moral of the story: 1) don't leave your snakes unatended for even .01 seconds.
2) if you must put a snake in a tree, buy a ficus tree. and leave the tree inside.
