A Tale of Two Cities (Abridged version)
WOOOOOOOT. Home sweet home. I'm back guys. Europe was great. Saw most of the landmarks in London and Paris. I saw the royal guards and they don't keep nearly as still as they are made out to. The only thing that was really outstanding about London was that everyone spoke good old English. Otherwise, it was good but nothong special. It has nice history though. Paris is what you have to see. If you aren't walking around and taking pictures.... you are constantly eating. I think i have to have gained a few pounds. It's amazing; none of the food their tastes bad. Unlike London where breakfast is a grilled tomato with beans. Anyway, on to my feats of strength and righteousness. As you might know, Paris is famous for its many pickpockets. One of them was sneaking up behind us and i just noticed him out of the corner of my eye. I whispered to my dad and we did a 180 degree jump to face him at the same time. It looked pretty funny but our flying acrobatics did the trick. Something that was really scary was that on the flight home, a woman almost died. I was sitting back with my headphones watching Paycheck on the inflight movie. It had just ended so i took off the headset. In the next aisle over i heard an elderly British man yell "what's wrong ann marie?!" My dad and i immediately turned to look and it seemed that this woman was having a heart attack. We took off in different directions yelling for a doctor. A nurse and two doctors answered the call and hurried over to her. After a little while they said she would be ok. She had had a seisure. The flight was uneventful after that and I'm home now. I would definitely recommend going to France when the dollar gets a bit stronger. Right now, the pound is worth almost twice a dollar and the euro is up by 1.5. It is extremely expensive there. My dad went a while ago when France used Franks. Back then it was 8 Franks to the dollar. In other words, he could get 8 cans of coke for a buck. Those were the days. Anyway, I'm glad to be back. I'm extrely jetlagged right about now so i think ill head on off to bed.

i took about 6 rolls of pics actually and im gonna post em as soon as i get them developed. Also, thetupak, i didn't climb the eifel tower but i did go to see it- it's huge. I don't think i would have made it up. It's almost 2000 steps to get to the second level and thats not even half way up. I did, however, climb the Arc de Triumph. That was 368 steps and has a great view- i got some pics from up there.

Paris would have been a terrific place.... if it wasn't populated by the French. They really are stupid, annoying, and obnoxious. All of the waiters in restaurants are hurrying you up and trying to get you to order in 30 seconds and they throw knives and forks down right in your face. It makes you really want to kick them. Not all of them are bad though; the one's i asked for directions were relatively helpful.

Hold on a second, leaning tower thingy????? What are u talking about? You mean the Leaning tower of Pisa? That's kind of in Italy. <Cough *Geography lessons* cough>. Nah, the long mustache is out of style i guess. I used a regular cam so i need to get them developed. I have a scanner so i can do it myself. Anyway, enjoy the pocketknife.

If you get the chance to go to France again, head down to Istres, Martigues and Marseilles. I've found the people in that area to be rather amiable. The scenery is also a heck of a lot better than that of Paris.
