"Copperhead in my basement!!!"
Is the call I received. Vision distorted by fear, it seems as if any snake with a pattern is a "copperhead" and any snake in the water is a "cottonmouth". This is the snake I found in the callers basement... What is it?

Well that's a copperhead if I EVER saw one by golly!! LOL Isn't that the infamous Elaphe Agkistrodon intergrade?
"Every snake is poisonous" my neighbor once told her children as they were petting my boa constrictor. ROFL

Is it a juvenile Northern Black Racer (Coluber constrictor constrictor)?
Wow that looks very deadly, did you chase them all around the house with it before letting them in on the fact that the snake is harmless?

Yep, it's a juvenile northern black racer. The large eyes are a good clue.
No, I won't keep him, just photograph and release.
