I named my Ball Python Pharaoh, I really don't know why, I just think it sounds strong. My RTB's name is Crusher because that is what he does to his food

Well, haven't come up with a name for my new Ball Python yet. But it's most likely going to be Mikala ... errr however you spell it, I'll have to look it up.

Morti and I started going with a Shakespearean theme for the snakes: Tybalt, Titania, Perdita, Mercutio, Romeo, Juliet, Sylvia, Lucius and Hamlet.
Then we decided that there just weren't enough good names to go around. The rest of the snake names are : Marlowe (after Christopher Marlowe) and Hades (our ATB).
Mythology holds a lot of interesting names: Cupid, Psyche, Persephone and Puck are the four geckos. Zeus is the only bearded dragon (for now).
Porthos is the tarantula (named after one of the 3 Musketeers. I'm still working on Athos, Aramus and D' Artagnan.).
We're still working on naming the babies from Perdita's litter that we're going to keep.
The real fun comes when we finally have human children.....
- Auntie M., who probably just scared Morti..........

[edit for explanation]
SOB (Spirit of Black) [edited due to my inability to remember] Paraphrase of an old Slayer song. I thought it was illustrative of one of my ATB's personality.
Leroy(he's bad, and he's brown)
Isis(girlfriend named her)
Belly(Biblical)
Dust(same)
Dabu(daughter named him, i've no idea)
Priscilla(because she's a big prissy girl)
Mahatma Ghandi (he eats three months out of the year)
Che Gueverra(He's a revolution unto himself)
Eden's Love(The true giver of knowledge)
Jormungandr(the midgard serpent of nordic lore, AND THE KILLER OF THOR))
Jehovah's Executioner(My name. The destroyer of anthropomorhic deities, in particular ones based on zoophobia)
The Spirit of Zoomorphic Piety(I like poetic names, with mythological overtones. I mean they don't have external ears people)
Patience as I Await to Drown in This Mortal Coil (Same as above)
Animal Mother(from full metal jacket, appropriate for another ATB)

Okay here goes:
My leopard geckos' names are Hawaii, Java, and Klondike. Hawaii was named because the words 'Hawaii' and 'gecko' just seemed to work together. Java was named for the coffee-colored spots down the middle of her back. Klondike was named for her white coloring. That was back when I thought she was a snow, she turned out to be a high-yellow.
The snakes' names are Zaida, Zena, Zavier, Zander, Zolton, Zephyr, Elsie, and Zero. I gave my snakes names starting with Z because my last name happens to be Zigler. It's just a Z thing, you wouldn't understand. Zaida is Irish-Gaelic for huntress. Zena is Arabic for friendly. I thought I'd use a little irony in her name because she isn't the friendliest snake you'll meet. Zavier, my kingsnake was named because I remember reading somewhere about a King Xavier or Zavier. Elsie, my female bullsnake, was named because female bulls are cows, so I gave her a cow name. Zero was named for two reasons, he came to Ground Zero with us the day I got him because I couldn't leave him in the car; also because he cost exactly that, zero. As for the rest of the names, I just liked them.
I also used to have a pair of U. Fimbriatus named Taha and Fisaka. The Madagascan name for leaftail geckos is Taha-Fisaka which means demons or demons of the forest/trees, something to that extent.

ok, here goes:
Burms: Murray, Antoinette, Amedeus - Murray from the tv sitcom, Mad About You (he chases a mouse), Antoinette because my MIL's poodle with the same name died about the time I got mine, Amedeus, just 'cuz I liked it.
Retics: Mercededs and Jaguar, because I have always wanted the cars with the same name and because it will take a garage to house them full grown lol
Boas: Kym (came with the name), Tarzan (liked the name), Liberty (from the WTC thing), Eve (came with the name), Evan (will be Eve's mate so I wanted a name that fit withought doing the Adam and Eve thing)
Corn snakes: Powder (came with the name), L.C. (came with the name, for Lewis and Clark, the explorers, since he loves to explore), Matea (modified from the charactor on Anaconda, his name was Mateo, I 'femininized' it), Boo (for the little ghost marking on her head, kids named her)
King snakes: Ramesses and Nefertari, Egyptian king and queen
IRJC python: Lady Valentine - Valentine's Day/Anniversary gift
W. Hognose: John Wesley or Johnnie ( western bad guy, hubby named him)
Gt Plains Rat: Paladin, another western bad guy, hubby named
Luec. TX rat: Spirit, because she's white and 'spirited' lol
